This family-run hotel offers free Wi-Fi, and is a 5-minute walk from Ahrweiler Markt Train Station. The hotel is opposite the historic Ahrtor Gate, which leads to Ahrweiler Old Town. The nonsmoking rooms at the Der Schützenhof include a seating area and a mini-bar. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom. Some rooms feature a balcony. The hotel is on the Ahrtal Cycle Path but due to flood disaster no more Ahr valley cycle path (temporarily), just 1640 feet from the Rotweinwanderweg (Red Wine Hiking Trail) and 2625 feet from the Ahrsteig hiking route. The nearby Old Town offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and wine bars. Der Schützenhof is just a 5-minute drive from Bad Neuenahr’s spa center, thermal baths and casino. The Nürburgring race track is about 30 minutes away. Because of the flood disaster, the range of restaurants, cafes, wine bars, etc. is limited.
