The renovation of our house has been completed and since 2020 we have opened our apartment on the 2nd floor to guests. We completed the renovation ourselves and it was very successful. But of course we would like to hear your opinion. Our ancient (Trierer) farm dates back to 1835 but has foundations dating back to 1614, making it one of the oldest buildings in Mürlenbach. Although we cannot offer you a private entrance, you reach your apartment via our beautifully renovated staircase. Through a lockable sliding door you enter the room / kitchen. We have built a box bed with a bed of 140x200 cm. A very cozy construction, great fun for children but of course also for 'grown-ups'. And we situated a separate bedroom A cozy sitting area and a spacious dining area complete the picture. The bathroom contains bath, sink, toilet and shower cabin. Adjacent to this is the separate bedroom with two 1-personbeds (90x200 cm) with a lockable folding door. Both the living room and the bedroom have fantastic views of the Bertrada Castle, which is illuminated until 0.00 hrs. Since 2021 we have also renovated the barn attic, which is now very suitable for e.g. darts, billiards, making music or sports (treadmill, exercise bike and punching bag), but also for children, who can swing, climb, hang from rings or horizontal bar, playing with the Wii, among other things, on a balance board or relaxing in a hammock. You can also opt for salsa lessons for a small fee, because I am a salsa teacher and I teach a few times a week in our beautiful dance studio. Of course you can use our terrace with a beautiful view of the Braunebachtahl and Bertrada castle. In summer we inflate our pool (3.5 m in diameter), which remains as long as the weather is pleasant. You can also use outdoor furniture and an outdoor refrigerator, in which you can store your food. You can store your own drinks or use our refreshments for a small fee.

In 2017 we moved from the busy Netherlands to this beautiful spot in the middle of the Vulaaneifel and have not regretted it for a day. We immediately started the renovation and the guest house has been ready since 2020. I have always liked dealing with people (I have worked in healthcare for years) and I am therefore happy that I can now give shape to that by renting out the apartment. Although I have now reached retirement age, I have no intention of sitting behind the geraniums. You're welcome.

As already mentioned: the Bertada Burght (600 yr. AD). There is a bakery in the village. The beautiful river (Kyll) runs right through the village. 5! Hiking trails run through our house (within 5 minutes you are in the forest, where you can just encounter deer, roe deer, boars or even a lone wolf). But cycling is also an option, although you must have strong calves on a 'normal' bike. There are several animal or amusement parks within a reasonable distance. A small supermarket is 4 km away, as well as 2 restaurants. 12 km away is a larger town, where you can buy everything your heart desires.
