Idyllically situated on the edge of the forest, above the centre of Gengenbach is the newly renovated Haus Nilson. In the middle of nature, with a fantastic view of the Kinzig Valley, you can escape from everyday life here. Haus Nilson has 6 holiday apartments, 1 double room, a modern hall, adjoining rooms and a large terrace with panoramic views. The guest rooms and the spacious terrace can be booked for events of all kinds. The half-timbered house, built in 1880, was completely renovated in 2020 in loving detail and brought up to the latest technical standards. The tasteful design of the rooms and the stylish furnishings match the Black Forest charm of the house. Parking is available directly at the house. There are also storage facilities for bicycles. Free Wi-Fi, as well as LAN connections are a matter of course in Haus Nilson. The accommodations can also be rented as a home office.

Neighborhood info

Gengenbach, in the beautiful Black Forest, is a charming, romantic half-timbered town. The historic old town, with its towers and gates, narrow alleys, and picturesque nooks and crannies, invites you to take a leisurely stroll. From Gegenbach, numerous cycling and hiking trails lead you on a journey of discovery through nature. The hills surrounding Gengenbach are also ideal for mountain bike tours of all levels of difficulty. Wine lovers will also find something to enjoy, as winegrowing has a long tradition in Gengenbach. The sheltered vineyards and mild climate provide the winemakers with high-quality wines, which can be sampled at wine tastings. During Advent, a visit to the old town is also worthwhile, as the Gengenbach Town Hall, with its 24 windows, is transformed into the world's largest Advent calendar house. Gengenbach is easily accessible by train; the train station is just under 3 km from the accommodation. The center of Gengenbach is a 3-minute drive away. Offenburg (14 km) is nearby. Strasbourg (43 km) and the famous Europa-Park (approx. 50 km) are easily accessible by car.
