Mike, originally from California, and Dani, a Berliner, are Bergsträßer by choice and have renovated a charming holiday home in the Odenwald with passion and attention to detail. With roots in different parts of the world, they brought their unique perspectives to create a "home away from home" that offers guests a relaxing stay amidst forests and nature, providing a modern and clean environment.
The picturesque municipality of Wald-Michelbach is located in the idyllic district of Bergstraße. The attractiveness of Wald-Michelbach is based both on its breathtaking location in the natural surroundings of Odenwald-Überwald – with two-thirds of forest area and minimal through traffic – and on its excellent connection to the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, with cities like Weinheim, Mannheim, or Heidelberg easily reachable in a short time.
The leisure infrastructure offers museums, a cinema, a summer toboggan run, a climbing forest, and a forest swimming pool. The municipality benefits from an exceptional climate, with lower extreme temperatures in summer.
Furthermore, Wald-Michelbach is located in the UNESCO Geopark Bergstraße-Odenwald, home to five nature reserves and several natural monuments. As a recognized tourist and recreational destination, the municipality offers a protected historic town center, numerous festivals and events, and access to regional and transregional cycling and hiking trails.
