The residential building, which was built for the editor-in-chief of a regional newspaper in the 50's, was sustainably renovated in 2019/2020 and lavishly converted into vacation apartments to new construction standard. A striking external feature of the Löwenbaude is the wooden facade of untreated larch in varying panel thickness (skyline contrast). In contrast, the interior design deliberately avoids the use of heavy wooden ceilings or dark wall paneling typical of the resin. The vacation home Löwenbaude is located on a slight slope of the Bismarckstraße at the "Rathauswiese" Braunlage. In summer you look from the living room or the balconies on a wonderful meadow landscape. In winter you have a beautiful view of skiing and tobogganing. The Löwenbaude is very centrally located. In a few minutes walk downhill you can reach the town center with numerous stores and restaurants, the ice stadium or the valley station of the Wurmberg cable car.
