We loved the hotel setting - on the Luneburg waterways. Lots of visitors during the day, but quiet at night. Lovely outdoor areas to enjoy the sunshine. Good indoor areas offering different atmospheres - quiet areas and livelier (but not rowdy) bar area. Pool and spa facilities were good, although steam room wasn’t working. Fruit, pastries and sweets freely available for guests. Selection of beer and soft drinks available in minibar - first lot included in room price. Easy stroll into town centre. Liked that the room windows opened.

Very friendly and helpful personnel. As cyclists we loved the location in the forest and beautiful paths, the Spa (Turkish bath in particular) to warm up and relax afterwards, the delicious fruits for breakfast, and the spacious room. We'll come back!

I was in Hannover purely for convenience to attend a funeral...

I was in Hannover purely for convenience to attend a funeral a few miles away and had no time to explore, but I did walk around that part of the city and found a really nice shopping centre next to the station, a good bookshop (Hugendubel), and several Asian markets to buy orange juice, water and some fruit. All were open during the evening. I should have taken the opportunity to get my nails done at the nail bar! There are so many places to eat but I opted for a takeaway bratwurst & chips. If I'd had longer I would have headed to the Alt Stadt (old town) which I know I would have loved.

It’s a beautiful place in n the coast. Very quiet. Lovely views over the mouth of the Elbe river. I’m so pleased i went. We have seen no other tourists from the UK during our trip and they are missing out on a great experience. For years we just went to France but I wish we’d decided to come to Germany as well.

An amazing island - loads of great restaurants, stylish bars, very open and welcoming people, great beaches and a good dose of breeze and rain :-) The Friedrich and the Surfcafe turned out to be our favorite places.

Gottingen is a lovely town and very easy to negotiate.

Gottingen is a lovely town and very easy to negotiate. We drove from Frankfurt and there was plenty of parking everywhere including near the university and city centre. There are a diverse range of restaurants and shops in the city. Plenty of places to sit out and have drinks, ice cream of coffee and people watch.

Lüneberg is a beautiful town and full of memories of...

Lüneberg is a beautiful town and full of memories of visiting my grandparents as a child. The Kurpark is a wonderful oasis of calm. The streets are wonderful and full of traditional buildings. The Rathaus is exceptional and there are lots and lots of places to eat. Hamburg is either a short train ride away or not that far to drive. A visit to Lüneburger Heide is a must, especialy in July and August when the heather is out.

It is not acceptual that you can't use the car outside the hotel although we have booked a parking lot in the yard. The time in the hotel I am a resident and I should be allowed to use my car. That has not been to told to me before the booking.

Goslar is off the beaten path, so may involve extra train connections. It is a small town and the old town is very compact and walkable. Most of the buildings are very well maintained medieval renaissance. The town supported the nearby nearby copper silver mines. The buildings are covered and roofed with slate with distinctive patterns. If you have time, you can explore the Harz Mts and the mining museums. The very local beer is Gose from the Brauerei Goslar, cloudy wheat beer with some spice and a bit salty. Named after the river Gose

Soltau has at least two excellent destinations for travellers. For good shopping, visit the Designer Outlet and for fun, visit the Heide Park! Additionally, you can take a short drive to Serengeti Park (some 40 kilometres) and enjoy a wonderful wildlife experience!

A small city, few places to go out except for the main pedestrian street. On Sundays, everything is closed both in the city and outside it, even the basic food stores. In the city center, only some of the restaurants are open.

Nice, underrated, cozy city with plenty of things to do. Ideal for solo travellers looking for a balanced, quiet-active city. Super walkable and also with fair public transportation (which is expensive in my opinion).
