Welcome to Villa Cologne – Apartments & Accommodation for Workers in Meckenheim. My name is Silvia, and being a host is much more than just a job for me – it is a labour of love. For many years, I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from a wide variety of countries, and it is precisely these encounters that make every day special. My goal is to create a place where you can arrive, take a deep breath and immediately feel at home. I know how important it is to be able to rely on reliable, clean and well-organised accommodation when travelling – whether you are travelling for business, planning a city break or looking for a few days' respite. That's why I attach great importance to clear processes, thoughtful details and an atmosphere in which worries can quickly fade into the background. Many of our guests appreciate precisely this feeling of peace, security and personal care.
As your host, I am particularly delighted to introduce guests to the best that Meckenheim and the Cologne–Bonn region have to offer. Whether you are seeking recommendations for excursions, restaurants, thermal baths, nature experiences, or simply practical advice for everyday life, I am happy to assist whenever I can. The fact that our accommodation regularly receives top ratings is, in my view, a wonderful confirmation of this commitment. For me, hospitality means trust, openness and respect. At Villa Cologne, you should not feel like an anonymous guest, but like someone who is welcome. Perhaps you will only stay for a few nights – perhaps you will come back. In either case, I look forward to being part of your journey and welcoming you to our home.
Meckenheim offers excellent transport links: in just a few minutes, you can reach the Meckenheim junction with connections to the A61 (Cologne/Koblenz) and the A565 towards Cologne and Bonn. From here, you can reach numerous attractions in 30–60 minutes. The most famous of these is – as our name suggests – Cologne Cathedral on the Rhine, as well as the lively city of Cologne. Via the A61 motorway, you can reach Phantasialand in Brühl, one of Germany's largest amusement parks, in about 35 minutes. In just 20 minutes via the country road, you can reach Euskirchen with its Palmenparadies, a bathing world with healing thermal water. Other thermal baths, such as those in Bad Hönningen or Bad Bertrich, are also less than an hour away. For guests who prefer a more liberal approach, the FKK Panorama Sauna in Holzweiler is only 15 minutes away. Meckenheim is located about 10 km from Bonn, the former capital and birthplace of Beethoven. Bonn is easily accessible every 15 minutes by S-Bahn. Only about 10 km away, the Eifel region begins with the Ahr Valley, known for its hiking trails and wine festivals. Around 30 km away, you can marvel at the world's largest cold water geyser in Andernach. Right next door, in Maria Laach Abbey, you will also find the largest (dormant) volcano in Europe.
