Cozy 1-room non-smoking apartment in a central location in Diekholzen. The combined living and sleeping area is furnished with a 150 cm sofa bed (bedspread, pillow, and linens are provided), a sideboard, a small dining/seating area, and a spacious wardrobe. The kitchenette is equipped with (almost) everything you need for daily living. A microwave and a filter coffee machine are also available (please bring your own ground coffee). The bathroom is functional and features a shower and washbasin. Towels are provided, and toiletries as well as a hairdryer are also available. Technically, the apartment offers free Wi-Fi, a smart TV with cable connection, and a projection alarm clock. Shops for daily needs are within easy reach. The traditional bakery, which still bakes on site, is about 500 m away. Directly across the street there is a bakery/café where breakfast is also available. The supermarket, pharmacy, and bus stop to Hildesheim are all within approximately 200 m walking distance. For dining outside the apartment, a döner food truck is available Monday to Friday, and on various days of the week there are other food trucks (grilled chicken, pizza, burgers). Those who prefer traditional local cuisine will find a restaurant after a 550 m walk. Diekholzen is surrounded by the hills of the Hildesheim Forest. Directly behind the house, you can access the forest with its many hiking and cycling trails. For exploring the region’s attractions, the Hildesheim Forest Hiking App is highly recommended. The Harz Mountains can be reached by car in at least 1 hour, depending on the destination. For business travelers, the following distances apply: Bosch approx. 4 km (unfortunately not accessible by bus), Hildesheim city center approx. 15 km, Alfeld approx. 25 km, Hanover Trade Fair grounds approx. 30 km, Hanover city center approx. 40 km.

The village offers everything you need for daily life within walking distance and, thanks to its location on the edge of the forest, provides direct access to the hiking trails of the Hildesheim Forest. The area is also a popular destination for cyclists. The bus stop to Hildesheim, a bakery, a supermarket, and a pharmacy are all just a few steps away. A doctor’s practice is located directly in the building. A restaurant serving German cuisine can be reached within 500 meters. In the village, street food trucks are available almost daily, offering a varied selection ranging from rotisserie chicken to pizza, burgers, and kebab dishes. The beautiful cathedral and church city of Hildesheim is 15 km away, Bosch is about 4 km away, Hanover (trade fair grounds) is 30 km away, and the Harz Mountains can be reached in about one hour by car. With its hilly forest landscape, the Hildesheim Forest invites you to go hiking as well as on extended cycling tours.
