Our pension has been around for 25 years - in 1995 we started with six double and single rooms each on Neugasse in Meißen. In 2002 and 2013 we had to cope with two extreme floods, which cost us a lot of strength and nerves, but still enabled us to emerge from these experiences strengthened and highly motivated. In the years that followed, several rooms, apartments and deluxe double rooms were added, all of which we extensively renovated, modernized and furnished with stylish furnishings by 2018. Just this year (2020) we expanded our breakfast room and converted the former adjoining fashion store into a cozy bar. So in the future you can end the evening with an excellent glass of Meissen wine or a refreshing beer with us. Our guesthouse is located in downtown Meissen - the cradle of Saxony - directly on the Triebisch, a tributary of the Elbe. Both shops and the city center with its numerous sights can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Our rooms are modernly furnished and offer you enough space to relax. Each room has a large flat screen TV, a private bathroom with a shower or bathtub, as well as a hairdryer and various care products. At our daily breakfast buffet you will strengthen yourself for the day and can then explore our beautiful old town. In the vicinity are the state porcelain manufactory (500 m), the Albrechtsburg with the cathedral to Meißen (1000 m) or the Frauenkirche Meißen (500 m). For a small city trip to Dresden, the next stop of the S-Bahn is behind the Neumarkt-Arkaden or you can drive in about 30 minutes by car on federal highway 6 to Dresden and enjoy the view of the Elbe valley. In addition, the numerous wineries and taverns offer a worthwhile destination for one or two hikes through our breathtaking Elbe Valley. Cyclists also choose Meissen again and again as a destination for a relaxed stroll through the old town or as a stopover on a long bike tour. The Pension Burkhardt is located south of the old town and thus offers the ideal starting point for a perfect city tour, bike tour on the Elbe, hiking tours through the vineyards or in Saxon Switzerland. The Meissen porcelain factory is only 500m away. The Albrechtsburg Castle and the Meissen Cathedral are a 10-minute walk away. Various restaurants can be found near the guest house. Meißen Altstadt train station is 750m from Pension Burkhardt.
