Dyssegaard is an typical, old Danish farm from the beginning of year 1800. It has been completely modernized, though maintaining the former building structure and materials. Today Dyssegaard has 50 ha of land of which 4 ha are Nordmann christmas trees, 5 ha newly plantet forrest and the rest is agriculture with many natural fences, lakes and good conditions for the wild game.
I am a retired army officer, who has done 41 years of service. That service has taken me far and wide. Postings in Norway, Bosnia, India/Pakistan, Lithuania and Ethiopia have lasted almost 14 years. I have had the pleasure of getting to know a lot of different cultures and religions, and I have enjoyed them all very much. In 1995 my family and I bought our farm, Dyssegaard. Over the years we have renovated our place and arranged or B&B and Holiday Apartment. In that way we can continue to meet interesting people from all over the world.
The southern part of Zealand is very beautiful. It is hilly (in a Danish context), surrounded by waters - both to the east (Dybsø Fjord) and to the west (Præstø Fjord) and Faxe Bay (the Baltic Sea)
