Two luxurious guest rooms have been carefully and qualitatively restored in the river wing of the large-scale building built by the Middendorffs, the landlords of the Hellenurme water mill in 1880. They can be booked separately or together, as the rooms are connected by a door. Both rooms have a separate entrance and toilet. The back room also has a terrace. The windows of the rooms offer enchanting views of the surrounding nature (mill lake and river) and the historic manor buildings. In front of the mill, a village road leads directly into the forest, where you can walk, cycle and ski (Tartu Marathon trail 1.5 km from the mill). You can swim and go boating in the mill lake. The mill chambers are cozy, furnished with restored design classics, which helps you get out of your daily routine and enjoy a vacation in the historic mill site.
Hellenurme Mill Museum is a unique and special place to visit, as it is the last water-powered water mill in Estonia. Here you can travel back in time, the miller family happily shows guests how the mill works, we offer guests meals in the bakery and experience programs from bread making to pizza making, and the hall can be used for birthday parties and other gatherings.
Hellenurme is located at the crossroads of exciting places - on one side there is the lovely little town of Elva 10 km, on the other side there is the famous university town of Tartu founded in 1030, on the other side there is the historic Rõngu 10 km, the border town of Valga 56 km, the winter capital of Otepää 15 km, and the ski slopes of Kuutsemäe 15 km. But first, all the charms of Hellenurme - walk directly from the room door to the forest path, ski or bike, swim in the mill lake or take a boat ride, get to know the manor culture of the region, or simply enjoy the sound of water.
