A family-owned enterprise since 2001, Al Salam is rural and ecologically friendly. However, it is located just next to Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple on Luxor East Bank (all within 15 min. by ferry) or Valley Of Kings (20 min. by car). For your stay you have two options: newly built houses with private bathrooms, 100% genuine Egyptian style built by local builders. One room has air conditioning. Or you will be staying in a little hut built from natural materials: clay bricks, local wood and Nile reed in the authentic Egyptian rural style. Al Salam Eco-Camp has its own, underground waste disposal system and electric energy consumption has been carefully balanced. Close proximity to the Nile makes the air-conditioning obsolete. The roof fan is more than enough. There is also an option for a higher standard in our new high-standard little house with a private bathroom and all amenities at your disposal. All food served in our kitchen-restaurant comes from local farmers and is prepared by hosts. Al Salam Camp is a vegan-friendly camp.
