The cottage has been rated 4 star by the Local Tourist Legislation . It has 4 bedrooms, all en suite and kitchen-dining room complete with wood burning stove and a sofa that just pulls you in. There is also a terrace, accessed from the kitchen - perfect for starting the day the right way with an al fresco breakfast. In addition, there is a patio that has a barbecue, a shaded area for cooking and eating during the summer months, which is also a shelter for the winter. There is also a chill out zone, with garden furniture perfect for relaxing or pulling a siesta.

I am a person full of concerns for the world but super-proud of my origins. Travelling here and there in many different countries around the world, I discovered that what I really wanted was to renovate an old ruin in my family village: Aldeasona. And as everybody knows, finding a ruin to renovate is not as easy as it looks, especially if you want to buy one in a place so specific. After I bought the place, I then found out the may grandma had lived there, as well as my mother when she was a child, and even that some of my uncles were born there! This made me very happy. And, after the ruin was mine, then came the grand project of finding the right construction materials - a project of almost four years. Lengthy, but rewarding. All carried out with great care. And now, the dream is complete; my only hope now is that you enjoy your stay here.

The cottage is situated in the heart of Castille y Leon. If you like the outdoors, you can head down to the River Duraton and see the vultures of Leon, deer, rabbits, and if you are lucky, an owl or two. If you are more inclined to sport, there are beautiful routes to walk, cycle, kyak or climb. If it is history that you would die for, you can visit the Roman ruins of Castillo de Penafiel, or the walls of Cuellar. If fine wine and great food is what you seek, then have no fear - you have some of the finest regional offerings: lechacito de Sacramenia o Campaspero y buen vino de Ribera de Duero o Valtiendas. And, if you just want to hang out, the house is an oasis of calm and natural beauty, which you don't even have to leave to see the stars from the patio. Aldeasoña is renowned for one of the clearest skies in the region. There is hardly any light pollution, which means you can’t help but see this incredible spectacle if you spend a weekend here.
