Hidden between the cliffs of northern Tenerife, Playa de San Marcos enchants with its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. This small black volcanic beach lies in a sheltered bay shaped like a shell, which usually makes the ocean calmer than on many other northern beaches. It’s a perfect place to slow down — enjoy a morning coffee with views of the Atlantic, walk along the sound of the waves, or have dinner with fresh fish in one of the cozy seaside restaurants by the promenade. Just a few minutes away you’ll find the charming town of Icod de los Vinos, famous for the legendary thousand-year-old Dragon Tree and its atmospheric streets filled with local wineries and traditional Canarian life. Nearby Garachico, one of the most beautiful historic towns on the island, offers natural lava pools at El Caletón where you can swim in the ocean and watch unforgettable sunsets. This is also a perfect base for exploring the lush north of Tenerife — volcanic coastlines, scenic hikes, local vineyards, and day trips to the spectacular Teide National Park. Here, the island reveals its most authentic and magical side. 🌊✨
