Casa Pura de Trevélez is a traditional Alpujarra-style house built in 1942 and carefully restored while preserving the soul and authentic character of the old village homes. Its thick walls, stone, wood, and rustic details create a warm, peaceful, and welcoming atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy the calm of the mountains. Located in a quiet area of Trevélez, the highest village in Spain, the house offers an authentic experience in the heart of the Alpujarra of Granada, surrounded by nature, silence, and the pure air of Sierra Nevada. The house features three bedrooms, one bathroom, a comfortable living room with a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen, combining simplicity and comfort. One of the most special areas of the house is its private terrace, perfect for having breakfast in the sun, reading, sharing a quiet dinner, or simply enjoying the open mountain views and the natural surroundings. Please note that the terrace is reached via a narrow, steep staircase, typical of these traditional homes; it is part of the property's authentic character, but for this reason access to the terrace may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or those carrying heavy or bulky items. The house also includes two meditation and relaxation rooms, set in the building's former stables. We have preserved their original architecture — the thick stone walls, the structure and the rustic character of what they once were. Those very walls, once built to keep out the cold, now make these naturally soundproofed spaces that outside noise, and even the WiFi signal, barely reach. That stillness makes them exceptional places for meditation, yoga, reading or simply enjoying a few days of calm and deep disconnection in contact with nature. We are a family passionate about nature, the mountains, and the peaceful lifestyle of small villages. Some time ago, we decided to start a very special adventure: restoring a traditional house in Trevélez built in 1942. The house is located in the Barrio Alto of Trevélez, the highest and most authentic part of the village, where several of Sierra Nevada’s best-known hiking routes begin. From here, guests can easily access long-distance trails such as the GR-7, which crosses the entire Alpujarra region and connects Trevélez with villages like Busquístar, as well as the GR-240 or Sulayr Trail, a spectacular circular route that surrounds the entire Sierra Nevada mountain range. In addition, this area is also the starting point for one of the most impressive routes for mountain lovers: the ascent to Mulhacén, the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula. Thanks to its location, Barrio Alto is the perfect place to begin excursions and enjoy nature directly from the doorstep of the house.
