We´re your hosts Jo & Steve and after moving from Sheffield, South Yorkshire in 2019, we now live, together with our 6 rescue cats, in a traditional old farmhouse overlooking olive & citrus trees being grown in the Almanzora Valley in the lovely Spanish village of Arboleas in the Province of Almeria. You may have seen us on Channel 4´s “A New Life In The Sun”, they dubbed us the Rock n Roll B&B which we thought was great! If you were Born To Be Wild, you´ll love our Music Room called The 27 Club, it holds over 10,000 pieces of vinyl, CDs, music DVDs, cassettes, musical instruments and even VHS music videos. The room is set out like Steve´s memories of a 1970s record shop, so you can enjoy Living In The Past by picking out and playing records & other media on a quality vintage stereo system whilst chilling with a cool drink on the comfy two seat sofa, now that sounds like A Perfect Day. You Ain´t Seen Nothin Yet, we also have a 1970s jukebox in The Roadhouse (our customer dining room) with 200 songs to choose from and there´s no need to scramble for change as we scramble your eggs, it´s set to freeplay for you to enjoy the Good Vibrations over your Breakfast In America, ´oop´s, sorry Arboleas! If you fancy Twisting By The Pool, we´ll be delighted to welcome you to our 15m x 4m Rolling Stones, salt water swimming pool & Jacuzzi, here you can get Down Down into our ergonomically designed sun loungers or you can Have A Drink On Me or Raise Your Glass at our poolside, honesty bar. The Sun Always Shines On TV and with around 320 days a year of sunshine here in Almeria, don´t forget your suncream, flip flops and Cheap Sunglasses!

Cortijo La Cueva is in an ideal location and is regularly used as a base for property hunters. From the property you can visually see the three estate agents which are all located together in the nearby Arboleas village. They can easily be accessed by either a 2 minute car drive or a 15 minute stroll. We have a great relationship with the Arboleas estate agents, they are familiar with us and often collect house hunters from us to take them on viewings and then drop them back off to us once that days viewings are completed. Once viewings are over, guests love nothing more than chatting together about their days experience at poolside with a cold drink from our honesty bar. In the evenings guests may choose to go out to eat at one of the local restaurants, or they may just wish to stay in and choose something from our evening meal specials. We offer a choice of dining locations to eat, both outside and inside. Located a short 2 minute walk from us is Maradels Holistic Therapy. It is a great place to relax and unwind. Customers enjoy going to Maradels, to take Sound Baths, Reiki, Chakra Healing, Sound & Energy Spirit Healing, to name but a few of their many services
