The well-known El Gato Negro "The Black Cat" in Capileira is a holiday home for couples and single travelers. It's a perfect base for getting to know Las Alpujarras and walking the mountain trails with all the comforts and character of a traditional village house.
Completely restored, retaining its thick chestnut beams and other wood features, the cottage has lots of character and an ideal location just below the quiet main square.
La Alpujarra is a special world all of its own in rural Andalucia. Its climate and mountain trails make it a suitable holiday destination all year round.The High Alpujarra (Poqueira Gorge, Tahá de Pitres and beyond) is the most memorable, picturesque and interesting destination for holidaymakers and cyclists and walkers. The mountain scenery, small white villages, walking trails, relaxed atmosphere and number of café-bars and restaurants with terraces make it a fascinating and satisfying choice.
