Keith and Jane, both enthusiastic nature lovers, have visited the 'Gredos' area many times in the last 10 years, we fell in love with the area around Candeleda in 2015 while on a hiking holiday. The climate here is almost Mediterranean, in fact, it is known as the Andalusia of central Spain with mild and winters, perfect for walking/cycling, etc. It took us 5 years to find and realize our dream of buying the fabulous property 'La Sayuela' from where we can welcome guests so that they also enjoy all that the area has to offer. La Sayuela is located on the outskirts of the charming village of 'El Raso', where there are ample amenities, perfectly located from where you can visit the upper Gredos, La Vera, Campo Arañuelo and the many towns and cities in the area.

The Casitas Rabilargo, Oropendola and Abejaruco in the Finca La Sayuela are located within the regional park of the 'Sierra de Gredos', this park, which extends directly from the Finca is approximately 862 km² and covers some of the best landscapes in all of Spain. We currently offer three fully equipped cottages, two with 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom cottage. they each have a comfortable living room, separate bathroom and fully equipped kitchen along with TV and free wifi, two are located at the top of the Finca on a concrete driveway with parking adjoining the cottages and one townhouse of The Big House. The views from the Finca are spectacular, to the north we have the magnificent splendor of the Sierra de Gredos with the 'Pico de Almanzor' at 2592m watching over us. Just a short walking distance (600mts) to the village where there is a fabulous restaurant, 2 shops and 3 bars.

Neighborhood info

Situated on the South face of the Sierra de Gredos in a quiet, elevated position just on the fringe of the village of 'El Raso' and at the foot of the majestic peak of 'Almanzor'. That is where we find 'Finca La Sayuela' where the views of the surrounding countryside are spectacular, with wonderful walks or stimulating cycle rides on your doorstep. The area is steeped in culture with the nationally important iron age settlement of 'El Castro Celta del Raso' only a few km away.
