Our house is called Gurbialde, which means "Next to the Strawberry Trees" in Basque. These trees grow all around the house and the hillside. We are surrounded by nature, wild animals, and the scent of earth, sea breeze, and life. It is a family home, full of memories, stories, and life, hosted by two people who love Basque culture, meaningful conversations over a good breakfast, and making people feel at home. We are not a traditional hotel, nor do we offer all the facilities and comforts of one, but we do offer a small, family-run project built on closeness and authenticity. Our goal is to bring new life and new memories to a space that has given us peace and joy for so many years. We want to share our culture, our little corner of the world, and our hospitality with those who wish to discover, enjoy, and love our land as much as we do. Bilbao, San Sebastián (Donosti), and Vitoria (Gasteiz) are located 72 km, 60 km, and 66 km away — about an hour's drive from the house. It's a strategic spot to relax while visiting all the richness that Euskadi has to offer.
