Welcome to Hostal Girona! To tell the story of this property, you have to let your imagination fly away. You could only enter this house if you were part of the Catalan bourgeoisie of the time. Like all the buildings of that period, it has a wide door and paving stones that once served as a passage for horse drawn carriages that led to the courtyard. The origin of Hostal Girona dates back to 1888. Don Enric Roger i Vidal designed the building together with one of the most prolific architects of Barcelona, the Catalan architect Don Enric Sagnier i Vilavecchia. One of his most emblematic works was the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the church located on the Tibidabo Mountain. We at Hostal Girona have preserved the essence and have never lost the magic within these walls that have more than 125 years of history (late 19th century). The rooms that once formed this typical manor house in Barcelona's Eixample, nowadays house our rooms and common areas for guests who want to contemplate the legacy of the best Catalan architecture.

Our B&B is located at “The Eixample Neighborhood”. Which is characterized by long straight streets, a strict grid pattern crossed by wide avenues, and square blocks with chamfered corners, in vibrant, artistic, trendy and diverse place, famous for its history and architecture. Our charming rooms are located on the first floor of our 19th century Art Nouveau Building with all its original detail and impressive entrance. A lovely accommodation, it features several comfortable, spacious, furnished private rooms. You can reach by foot the entire city center while staying in the safe and charming Eixample neighborhood, in the “golden square” of Barcelona. It’s only 300 meters from Plaza Cataluña, the Ramblas and Paseo de Gracia, an ideal position to visit the Gothic Quarter and the Eixample, with the famous Gaudi’s houses (Casa Batlló and La Pedrera) and many other major tourist attractions and main shopping areas.
