LA PUERTA DEL SOL is a typical Canarian-style rustic house, recovered with a fine conservative restoration, which maintains the original authenticity, while equipped with modern comforts. The house has high-speed WiFi, each room is air-conditioned (hot/cold), the hot water comes from a 50-litre rapid boiler, at guests' disposal we find a washing machine, drying rack, iron, ironing board, and hairdryer. The house comfortably accommodates 4 people, and 2 more using the sofa bed in the living room. If, on the other hand, there are 2 guests, only the suite will be available to them. Of course, the whole structure will not host other people. The kitchen area, lit by a large remote-controlled velux, has a fridge and freezer compartment, dishwasher, induction hob, microwave oven, kettle and coffee machine (capsules), as well as crockery, pots and pans and cutlery. In the living area, there is a sofa bed, television and TVSAT decoder which receives all the channels from HotBird Eutelsat 13° Est, both Italian and foreign, with decoding card. On the outdoor patio, however, there is a corner suitable for relaxing. Upstairs there is a large terrace for sunbathing, chatting or having dinner with friends. From the "azotea" you can enjoy a spectacular panorama: in front of the immense expanse of the ocean, with the island of La Gomera in the foreground and, if you're lucky, move a little, El Hierro to the left and La Palma to the right , behind the majestic presence of Teide, the great volcano. Located in the village of Taucho, (Spanish national heritage), it is a "meditation" house, for tranquility and silence, while being a few kilometers away from services, entertainment and Playa Paraiso, one of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife. Hi, I'm Paola, your host. I can't talk about myself without talking about my husband. We embarked on this Canarian adventure together, not without difficulty and criticism from family and friends. But every time we come here, we love this island more and more. We love the sea, we love the mountains, we love life here. The rural town of Taucho was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2005. Here the protagonist is the traditional Canarian architecture. The town is located about 950 meters above sea level and it is a real pleasure to get lost in a walk through its alleys. In the town we find a Catholic church and an interesting hermitage dedicated to the Virgin of Coromoto. Also a short walk from La Puerta del Sol is the Taucho restaurant, which offers really tasty dishes at more than reasonable prices.
