It has a population of around 2,272 residents and sits at an altitude of 296 meters. The town has a rich mining history and is known for its well-preserved folklore, including music and traditions like the "Jamugueras". There are also interesting religious sites to visit, like the Church of Santa María de Gracia and the Church of the Santísima Trinidad. If you're interested in history, you might also want to explore the recently discovered Turdetan city located near the town. Andévalo Aventura children´s camp is only 25 minutes away. Riotinto Mines, copper mines located on the Tinto River, only 45 minutes away. The beautiful coast of Huelva from Punta Umbría to to Ayamonte, is just about one hour away. Sierra de Aracena is just about 35 minutes away.
