For nature lovers, the Sierra Espuña Regional Park is just a few minutes away and offers hiking trails for all fitness levels. The more adventurous can explore the Sima de la Higuera, one of the longest caves in the region. In Pliego itself, it's well worth visiting the Castle, the Church of Santiago Apóstol, the Calle del Agua and the Olive Oil Mill Museum. And if you'd like to explore the wider area, Mula is just a short drive away, with its impressive Castillo de los Vélez and the El Cigarralejo Iberian Art Museum. The local food scene is another highlight — fresh produce from the Murcian market gardens, wines from Bullas and traditional slow-cooked dishes are all absolute must-tries.
