My name is Roy and for the last four years, I've been living in the South of Tenerife and working hard to build infrastructure and resources for Remote Workers and Nomads here! After helping formulate the community, about 3 years ago I opened Zen Den Coworking right next to the beach in Costa Adeje to not only provide a cool place to work but also use as a HUB for the community where people can come and participate with events no matter if they are a member or not! In the last year especially Tenerife has had a few issues, spiralling cost of living and accommodation costs have caused (valid) unrest with some local people due to the distribution of wealth and displacement of local people. I don’t have a solution or pretend to know all of the factors that have caused the problems, I just want to find a way I can help. This is what this project is about, we are providing dedicated accommodation for Digital Nomads and Remote Workers that does not take away from from the local property market and then we can use the group and property to help with integration into the local community, building mutual respect and stimulating the local economy.

The rooms are varied with different sizes, setups and views but all except two come with an ensuite toilet and shower, they are also equipped with a desk/chair and a built in wardrobe. Common areas are huge, with three lounges that can be used as meeting rooms, a TV lounge, roof terrace, indoor patio, large gardens with outdoor seating and swimming pool. Lastly of course we have the library which we are going to use as the Coworking Space. The town of Arona is the municipal capital of the area and is simply a stunning town, it has cobbled streets, a lovely little town square with the church, a few local restaurants and bars, three smaller supermarkets and quite possibly the best bakery for cakes and sweet treats on the island. The town sits about 20 minutes drive from the busiest parts of the island in Los Cristianos and Playa Las Americas and there is a regular bus that goes to these areas easily so you can get to the beach on public transport. Due to being a little uphill the area is much greener than the coast and has some fantastic hikes you can head on right from your doorstep. Its a quiet and pretty town where you can really relax after work and take in island life, but still close enough to everything going on the coast that you do not miss out. From a Remote Worker point of view this really is the perfect location to have a tranquil place to stay and work but still have the ability to access the community and events going on near the beach
