I opened ZOOROOMS just over 12 years ago because I felt there was a space in the tourism world of Barcelona for a different kind of accommodation - a place where guests can feel 'at home' from the moment they arrive. From travelling I've learnt what I like and don't like in a place - a welcoming atmosphere is essential, a place with soul. So we ensure guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Another element are the rooms - they had to be comfortable, but interesting too - so we had artists paint them individually! Each one is unique. I also knew I liked the friendly environment I found in hostels, but I like the privacy that ensuite private rooms offer. So, I had to ensure the place was inviting enough for guests to feel they can start a conversation with other guests and make new friends if they wanted, but they still have privacy and don't have to be sociable if they do not wish to. A communal living area, kitchen and sun terrace ensured that this was likely to happen. The result has been excellent. In my spare time I like to paraglide and travel :-)

WE ARE A SMALL GUESTHOUSE OFFERING A MORE INTIMATE AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAN YOU WILL FIND STAYING AT A LARGER HOTEL IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE.
