Arctic Aurora HideAway is a small family business founded in October 2022 and this villa is the company's first and so far the only building offering accommodation. We, a married couple, Nina and Krisse, work in the company. We are ready to invest in personal service and authenticity in everything we do. We are local people, born in Rovaniemi and therefore know the conditions, seasons and culture of the area best. We locals are an interesting mix of personal charasteristics, we are communicative, sometimes silent and just gaze the campfire flames, we are at the same time unhurried, relaxed, smiling and talkative while we are busy doing something interesting, for example heating up the sauna or rowing on the lake. Our company was born from the need to bring out the authenticity and finesse of the local culture. Our location is so phenomenal that we wanted to share it with those people in the world who don't have the opportunity to experience something similar in their everyday life. This is the incredible nature of Lapland that we see right behind the window glass and when the front door is opened and one steps outside, it is such a breathtakingly wonderful experience at all times of the year.

Our modern premium villa was completed in 2023. What makes the villa unique is its own private 35 square meter suite. The interior door leading to the suite is lockable and the door and the walls of the suite are soundproofed. The suite also has its own entrance from the outside. The suite has a kitchen, living room, TV, dining area and bathroom with a shower. A suite is the ideal solution for privacy on vacation. The villa has a total of six beds for adults. Children aged 0 to 5 can sleep in existing beds. 2 extra beds for kids/young are available. Bedroom 1 has a double bed 160 cm x 200 cm. Bedroom 2 has 2 beds of size 80 cm x 200 cm. The suite has a double bed 160 cm x 200 cm. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an induction stove. There is a free super fast optic fiber internet with a Wifi in the entire area of ​​the building. There is a wood fired sauna in the villa, but in the winter months (Oct - April) sauna will be in customer's use only with an additional rate. Please contact either Nina or Krisse to learn more about this. The accommodation includes free use of the hot bath located outside on the terrace. Two outdoor fireplaces are also freely available. It is only 25 meters from the interior to the shore of the lake. The best thing about the location is that the 5.5 meter wide sliding door window in the living room opens up an unobstructed view of the northern horizon, where the northern lights and the midnight sun shine in the summer. For an additional fee: snowmobile safari, wood-heated sauna, dip in icy lake, massage therapy/singing bowl therapy, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cooking on an outdoor fire, cooking classes/dinner and a minivan transportation. We can organize excursions according to the customer's wishes, please contact us about these well in advance of your arrival. Throughout your stay, Krisse, local born second owner of the villa, will act as your guide/host. Welcome to hideaway in these luxurious surroundings!

Norvajärvi is a lakeside village just 12 minutes' drive from Rovaniemi Airport, the Arctic Circle and Rovaniemi city center. There are no street lights in the village and therefore the place is one of the best places in Rovaniemi to observe the northern lights. A dirt road leads to the area, and there is no public transport available. To get to the accommodation, you need to arrange transportation either with the host of the accommodation, drive rental car or take a taxi. However, Lake Norvajärvi is so close to the Arctic Circle's lively activities and the services around Rovaniemi city area, that our villa's location is perfect. Here you may live in silence without citylights, drive 12 minutes and you are in the middle of city action! Our neighbors are local families with children.
