We are a Finnish/Irish couple that enjoys the nature and the serenity of Hossa. We have operated in Hossa for over 10 years and have a vast knowledge of the area, which we are happy to share with our guests. We live on the premises, so help is always available.

Property info

Hossan Lumo offers several different types of accommodation from simple lakeside cottage to traditional log cottages and brand new lakeside chalets. Some cottages have their own saunas, while others have a communal sauna, which can also be rented for private use. Our minimarket and cafe are open from May to October. We rent SUP-boards, kayaks, canoes and rowing boats for exploring the lake and fat-bikes for getting familiar with the surroundings on land. In the winter time we rent back-country ski's and cross country ski's. Please note, that pets are are only allowed in some of the accommodations. Please contact us beforehand if you are travelling with a pet.

Neighborhood info

Hossa National Park offers excellent hiking routes and our clear watered lakes are great for fishing and paddling. Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities in the area. Places of interest include the Hossa Värikallio rock paintings and Julma Ölkky canyon lake. The rock paintings were painted in the Stone Age and they are among the largest prehistoric rock paintings in Finland. Hossa is a tranquil paradise in every season.
