Welcome to spend a night or two in this cute little cottage! Nestled in the peaceful countryside, just 30 minutes from Helsinki, this charming early 20th-century cottage awaits guests within a beautiful, historic farmyard setting. The cottage features an entrance hall leading to a combined living and sleeping area, as well as a separate sauna and dressing room. Electricity is available, but there is no running water. Water for washing can be heated on the sauna stove while the sauna warms up. Please note that there is no indoor toilet (i.e., no flush toilet). A composting outhouse is located approximately 20 meters away, with a hand-washing station right next to it. Amenities include an electric kettle, microwave, fan, small fridge (10-liter capacity), and a Nescafé Dolce Gusto capsule coffee maker. Drinking water and tableware are provided. Please not the there is no stovetop or hot plate. A charcoal grill is available for outdoor use; guests must bring their own charcoal or briquettes. Sleeping arrangements include: • sofa bed (160 cm, sleeps 2) • wooden daybed (80 cm, sleeps 1) • inflatable mattress (160 cm, sleeps 2) • vintage wooden bed (80 cm, sleeps 1; bed length 165 cm) • foldable travel cot for a baby or toddler There is plenty of free parking space in the yard for cars or even a motorhome. You are welcome to spend time in the yard (featuring amenities such as a swing and a sandbox for children) and enjoy the garden and beautiful scenery. We welcome guests in person on-site. We live nearby, so we are available to help with anything you might need. Check-in is from 3 PM onwards, and check-out is by 11 AM.

Veikkola is a beautiful little village just outside the Helsinki metropolitan area. From here you can travel in less than 30 minutes to Helsinki by car or by bus. You can find various supermarkets, restaurants, kids playgrounds, and pharmacy in the center of Veikkola - under 3 km from the cottage.
