Marjakartano Hussola is a family-owned accommodation. The host couple welcomes the guests personally. We are happy to introduce you your cottage and the surroundings upon your arrival. Property info

Welcome to be our guest in Karttula (Kuopio). Our neat and well-equipped cottages are on the shore of a lake Pieni Tallusjärvi. Here you can see the activities of our berry farm from a close distance or just enjoy the peaceful, clean nature and water. In winter our cottages are warm when guests arrive and in the summer heat wave airconditoning cools down the temperature in the cottage. In summer time you can enjoy your private beach area, pier and rowing boat. Some of the summer electricity is produced by solar panels and during the strawberry season you can buy fresh strawberries from our farm. Some of our cottages are close to each other, but each cottage has large yard fenced with bushes and its own peace. Here you can spend your vacation with big group of friends or several families. You can spend time together with each other, but still have your own family time in your own cottage.

Neighborhood info

Marjakartano Hussola is located in a quiet location, on the shore of lake Pieni Tallusjärvi. Most of our cottages have a wonderful lake view and you have good access to the lake in summer and also in winter. If you like walking in the forest, it’s easy to get there. In the forest you can walk in peace and listen to the birds singing. You can walk or even cycle on forest roads if you have your own bike with you on holiday. We also have 1 km long forest path with shelter and campfire. In autumn you can collect berries and mushrooms in the forest. The nearest shop is in the village of Karttula. The village also has a pizzeria, a cafe and flea markets. It is a quick drive to Kuopio and there is a wide variety of things to do. There are shopping places like Matkus Shopping Center and Ikea, restaurants, museums, Puijo Tower, spa and much more.
