Poppelstrand guest suite is attached to our home. It is infant and pet friendly. It is situated in Nuuksio just 30 km away from Helsinki, easy to be reached by public service, in-midst of the Finnish great Nature. A real great get away for stressed city people. The suite has its own entrance, a wood panelled bed room bed (160x200cm), a decorative fire place, a hide-away sofa and a flat screen TV. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with stove, micro wave, coffee maker, water kettle, toaster and more. The modern bath room has a rain shower and a washing machine. Enjoy our private sauna and have a dip in the nearby river. The big garden has sitting and dining areas, a wood BBQ and a fire pit and a small river on one boarder of the garden.
II am a French woman living in Finland since 20 years with my Finnish husband. I love exploring the world and learning about new cultures. I am a dog lover, and we have 2 little dogs living with us. I enjoy people, gardening, being close to horses, long walks in the nearby forest and lakes or just reading a good book. I enjoy hosting our guests. I try to make them feel comfortable and to enjoy their holidays but I am far from perfect. Extra services: Airport and Helsinki transportation with private car: 40e one way Nature trips, mushroom hunting, sight seeing can be organised to your wishes. 20e per hour/2 people Professional photographer for wedding pictures and nature pictures. Nuuksio National Park is an area with over 100 lakes and ponds and a preferred get away for stressed city people and tourists. The house is in-midst a beautiful large garden, on the boarder of a small river and close to public transportation. The small river next to the house leads to the Nuuksio Big Lake (just 400 meters from us), where you can also find a little beach. The Nuuksio Recreational area and trails are just a few foot steps away and the Nuuksio National Park (7 km). Activities: Summer: hiking, trekking, nature walks,bicycling, canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, golfing, horse back riding, bird watching and fishing Fall: dito, berry picking, mushrooming Winter: cross country skiing, down hill skiing, ski joering, snow shoe trails, husky rides, walking and skating on frozen lake Spring: dito and the first rays of sun :-) Attractions in the area: Halti Nature Museum 5km Solvella Sport Academy 5 km Swing hill down hill slopes 6 km Reindeer Park 6 km Husky rides 10 km Golf 5 km
