A cosy log cabin right by the Ruka slopes, with excellent transport links. The Ski-Bus stop is directly in front of the cabin and the cross-country ski trails are just a few hundred metres away — the slopes and trails are effortlessly close, straight from your door. The cabin is well maintained and up to date: the kitchen and furnishings were renewed in November 2021, and the floors were completely replaced in 2025. There's sleeping space for eight: two beds in the bedroom, a sofa bed for two in the living room, and mattresses for four in the loft — ideal for a family or a group of friends. Bed linens and final cleaning available for an additional fee.
My family and I have fallen in love with the stunning nature of Ruka and Kuusamo. The cabin is in our own active use — skiing and downhill in winter, mountain biking and hiking in summer. I hope you and your family get to enjoy the same beautiful surroundings and activities, and feel just as at home here as we do. Welcome to Ruka!
The Ruka slopes, services, shops and restaurants are all conveniently close by. The area offers plenty to do year-round — skiing, cross-country trails and a snowy atmosphere in winter, and mountain biking, hiking and trekking through Kuusamo's national landscapes in summer.
