Welcome to our cozy and peaceful Karhumökki cabin! The cabin features one bedroom, a bathroom, an upstairs area, and a living room. It is a semi-detached cabin, with both units available for rent. Please note that bed linen and final cleaning are not included in the rental price. However, you can order them separately if needed: bed linen for 20e per person and final cleaning for 110e. The cabin is located just a few kilometers from the center of Ruka. You can easily walk to Ruka’s shops, restaurants, and other services while still enjoying the tranquility of nature. The ski trails and SkiBus stop are only 350 meters away, and you can access the snowmobile route directly from the cabin’s yard. In addition to Ruka, the surrounding area boasts stunning national parks such as Oulanka, Riisitunturi, Hossa, and Salla, offering excellent hiking opportunities year-round.
Karhumökki was originally built by Liisa’s grandpa, and Meri-Anna has deep roots in Kuusamo. Now, we want to share our wonderful cabin with you. We have years of experience exploring Kuusamo’s breathtaking landscapes in every season. We love spending time on hiking trails, conquering fells, paddling, skiing, and enjoying a hot cup of cocoa after a ski trip. We hope you enjoy your stay—Ruka always has something new and surprising to offer. A warm welcome!
