My villa is a thoughtfully designed, bungalow-style haven with soaring ceilings up to 3.5 meters, creating an airy feel. Almost every room offers full or partial sea views, keeping you connected to the coast. Bedroom 3, in a separate cozy cottage, offers extra privacy. At the heart of the villa is the open-plan living room and kitchen – a light-filled space for unwinding. Inside, an original Finnish sauna and a modern shower await. After relaxing, just a few steps lead to a ladder and into the refreshing embrace of the sea – an unforgettable experience. Guest access Guests have full access to the villa, except for a small wardrobe and a few drawers. A spacious terrace wraps around the villa, inviting you to enjoy outdoor living. The fully equipped outdoor kitchen makes preparing meals a pleasure, and cozy seating areas offer perfect spots to linger. By the shore, a private terrace with a fire basket awaits for magical sunset evenings. Other things to note The villa offers an ideal retreat for families, friends, corporate groups, or remote work all year round. The area is perfect for outdoor activities and nature walks. A nearby rocky peninsula stretches into the sea, offering breathtaking views and tranquility. With only three neighboring homes, privacy and serenity are treasured. My name is Matti, and I’m an active retiree who enjoys music, woodworking (DIY), cooking, gardening, and traveling. Together with my late wife, I lived for ten years in Malta, where we would drive through Europe each autumn and return north in the spring. Over the years, I’ve gained travel experience from nearly every corner of the world, staying in many types of accommodations – some excellent, others less so. Drawing from these experiences, I have created a villa where even the small details are carefully considered to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of my guests. I’m happy to assist with travel arrangements, and to recommend sights, restaurants, and activities here on Åland. Just a few hundred meters from the villa, a wide rocky peninsula stretches towards the horizon – a perfect spot for a picnic with a basket in hand. Enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the warmth of the sun on the rocks. In Finland, the "Everyman's Right" allows you to walk freely in nature as long as you respect private yards and avoid open fires. Nearby, there are many attractions, but my personal favorite is the ruins of Bomarsund Fortress, destroyed during the Crimean War in the 1850s by French and British forces. In the west harbor of Mariehamn, you’ll find the historic sailing ship Pommern, the last grain ship in the world from the early 1900s, along with an excellent maritime museum. There are plenty of restaurants and activities – I can help you quickly find the best spots. If you’re interested in fishing, a local guide and boat can be booked in advance.
