Feel yourself at home at Villa Korkatti! Villa Korkatti is located on a peaceful and quaint place eight kilometers north of Haapavesi. Prices include breakfast, bed linen, towels, free WiFi and the use of the sauna. You can also use a kitchen with all the equipment you need, for example fridgerator, coffeemaker, dishes etc. You can also use our electric timers for heating up your car on the winter time. There's also a charger for electric cars. 11kW charger with Type 2. There is a small fee for charging. The sauna, showers and the kitchen are in joint use of the customers. The first students came to learn in 1950 and the last ones in 1974. At that time the upstairs was called home by several people. There was a home of ”a single teacher” and home of ”teacher with family.” After the school ended for good the place was renovated for tourism and travellers. In the next three decades Korkatti saw lots of different things from local shop to skiing events and hosting parties.

Päivi has had a dream of own business of this branch since she was a teenager and Joni has always been sort of a social businessman which found home at Villa Korkatti. We both have studied tourism and business and in our family there are a professional cook, teacher of tourism, a carpenter, an electrician, hotel staff etc. So if the help needed is not here, it usually is close. The support of the family has been essential to us. Without family we might not had even bought the place, let alone had renovated and improved it so much.

Villa Korkatti is the place to be if you want to explore Finnish nature. The mount Korkatti (elevation 186,6 metres) and the Nature Trail of Korkatti are only 3 km away from the Villa, here you can really see the Finnish nature at its best. Frisbeegolf-course, mountain bike route and a country skiing track are also found only a few hundred meters away from the Villa. Villa Korkatti offers also other services like catering, private events, office parties, weddings. The picturesque and beautiful garden of Villa Korkatti provides you many possibilities. For example we have a traditional Finnish sauna with palju (a Finnish idea of a hot tub), a tepee for barbecuing and a traditional Finnish swing.
