The architect-designed Villa Lakeside Ruka is a peacefully located, well-finished cabin set in a natural environment, just a short distance from Ruka’s services and slopes. The outdoor hot tub adds comfort to your stay year-round. The cabin is well-suited for couples, families, and small groups who appreciate cosy and effortless accommodation.
The price always includes the outdoor hot tub, end-of-stay cleaning, towels, and beds made up according to the number of guests.
The open-plan living room and kitchen are spacious and bright. Large windows offer views over the treetops to a peaceful northern landscape. The well-equipped kitchen and comfortable dining area are ideal for cooking and spending time together. The fireplace creates a warm and cosy atmosphere, especially in the evenings after a day outdoors.
There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The sauna and washroom are well finished and practical. A combined dressing room and utility room adds convenience, with a washing machine and drying cabinet. The cabin also has a separate toilet. The bedrooms have blackout curtains for restful sleep, and an air-source heat pump allows you to adjust the temperature year-round.
The south‑facing terrace offers a calm outdoor space with natural light throughout the day. The outdoor hot tub invites you to relax all year round. Outdoor furniture and a barbecue are available during the summer.
During the summer season, guests have access to two SUP boards and a rowing boat, which is shared with the neighbouring cabins. In winter, snowshoes are provided for adults and children alike, making it easy to explore the surrounding nature.
There is parking for a couple of cars, an electric vehicle charging station, and an engine heater outlet. A lockable outdoor storage room is located next to the entrance.

Together with the clean air and easy access to nature, these are often the moments guests remember long after their stay.
There are excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, as the trails running directly along the cabin road, and the snowmobile trail can be accessed via the lake. The area is ideal for skiers, hikers, snowmobilers, and anyone who wants to enjoy the peaceful nature.
The surroundings of Lake Kesäjärvi offer a natural setting for outdoor activities and relaxation. The natural shore is shared with neighbouring cabins, and a dock offers easy access to the clear lake for swimming.
Ruka's slopes and services are a short drive away. During the high season, the Ski Bus stops at the end of the cabin road, which makes it easy to get around without a car.
Kuusamo Airport is close by, and the airport bus runs along the nearby road, with the nearest stop about 800 metres from the cabin. Travelling without a car is straightforward, though a rental car can help reach more remote nature sites. Rovaniemi Airport is also accessible by car in about 2 hours and 40 minutes. The location offers a good balance of natural peace and easy accessibility.
