Originally from Bristol in the UK i spent several winter seasons in Tignes and then moved to Chamonix year round in 2006. Im a passionate snowboard mountaineer and kite surfer who loves to travel to new spots and meet new people. Living and playing here in Chamonix for the last 15 years Im always more than happy to share local knowledge and suggest activities ,hiking itineraries etc either before hand or in person during your stay .

The apartment is located 50 metres away from the river Arve in the heart of La Praz village with its incredible views and enviable position within the valley helping you to get the most out of your stay in Chamonix -summer or winter.Although it's in the centre of la Praz it's a very quiet location with free and secure parking.Its only 300 metres walk away from the brand new high speed Flegere cable car connected with the Brevent ski area and the stunning 18 hole golf course is only a 5 minute walk, it also offers great access to the other ski areas in the valley as its equidistant to le Tour at one end or les Houches at the other.The quiet village retains its charm and has a local post office,church,ski shops,cafes,tabac,bar/resteraunt and grocery store/bakery all on the doorstep .Ideal for a family with only a short walk to the ski lift-also there is a free children's playground opposite the apartment. Chamonix centre with its colourful streets, large selection of sport shops ,resteraunts,shops,and nightlife is a 5 minute drive/bus ride or you can take a 20 minute walk following the lit footpath alongside the river l'arve which is pleasant anytime of year.
