Breath-taking mountain views, a rich cultural heritage, meandering rivers and canals, winding roads and quality local produce all conspire to make Saint Laurent an unforgettable rural experience. Here you can get away from it all, but if you want some action, you do not have to travel far to find it.

Penny, your host now manages Saint Laurent alone as Host Geoffrey died sudenly.She hope guests will understand that she, as a result, has had to take over all daily running duties of Saint Laurent. She is well supported by a small team of locals. An Associate Jeanne often also helps when she visits from England. Penny loves people, hence her heart is open to guests to share her lovely French home. Penny worked mainly in rehabilitative and orthopaedic medicine in Southern Africa, including Zambia and Swaziland. Penny's great love is music. She devotes many hours to playing the piano herself, and considers herself a serious amateur. You are welcome to listen to her play, and to join in.She has built a reputation of hosting both jazz and classical concerts at the house.Concerts can be in the garden or in the large salon upstairs. Geoff and Penny ran a small farm in Swaziland, (Eswatini) with a mango orchard and beef cattle. They have been able to transfer those skills to manage the land here according to permaculture principles. They have a core belief in the importance of building community. Hospitality is her natural gift; She like to get to know you if you have time for a chat.

With the majestic, snow-capped Pyrenees as the backdrop, in Volvestre you will find everything to satisfy an adventurous spirit. The people of Haute-Garonne have always loved cycling, and over 190 km of exclusive bike paths have been established. Only forty minutes on the A64 motorway is Toulouse. Here you can visit: Aeronautical Museum, Space City and Airbus. Albi, Carcassonne and Lourdes (all 90 mins away) are within easy reach by car.
