Chalet Alpine Rose is the perfect cosy alternative to staying in a large apartment building or hotel. It is a small chalet designed for two with comfy double bed, en suite facilities, kitchenette and log burning stove. It is located at the end of a private road in large peacefull gardens with stunning views of both sides of the Chamonix valley including Mont Blanc and the Aiguille De Midi. The centre of Chamonix, cable cars and transport links are accessed in less than five minutes on foot via a footpath. The nearest hiking and biking trails are accessed in five minutes, the nearest cable cars including Aiguille De Midi and Brevant for Summer hiking and climbing and Winter skiing are five to ten minutes walk. Pets are welcome. Free Wifi & parking. Pets are welcome by prior request and we have a large secure garden for them to explore, but we do have a house rule that they not be left unaccompanied in the chalet. However we can offer a flexible dog sitting/walking service to allow you to ski or go on the hikes in the areas where dogs are forbidden. (Nature reserves, Lac Blanc and Aiguille De Midi).

Originally from the UK and Ireland, we have been visiting Chamonix for over 30 years and have lived here permanently for 12 years. We have participated to varying degrees of success in all the activities available here.. Moutaineering, skiing, snowboarding, ultratrail running, mountain biking, parapenting.. etc so are very happy to share our local knowledge and enthusiasm for this amazing part of the world.

Chalet Alpine Rose is located in a quiet private residential area on the sunny side of the Chamonix valley. The centre of the town is accessed by footpath in under five minutes. Chamonix is located in the heart of the French Alpes just 20 minutes from both Italy and Switzerland. It is a small but active town with an all year population. In the Winter skiing and snowboarding are the most popular sports, but throughout the rest of the year climbing, hiking, biking, running take over as the most popular activities. There are also a good selection of fashion shops, numerous restuarants, golf courses and of course the cable cars and moutain railways which are open nearly all year around and give access to mountain hikes and site-seeing. There are numerous short trips available, for example Lake Geneva, Lake Annecy are both less than 60 minutes away. Geneva airport is just an hour away and there are extensive transport links to the rest of Europe, by train or bus.
