Chalet Green Forest is situated in Lavancher, a mountain hamlet only a few minutes' drive from Chamonix. Combining the feel of a traditional chalet with contemporary design and impressive features, this chalet is both modern and cosy. The elevated position and huge windows in the open plan living area create beautiful views of the Chamonix Valley as far as the ski lifts at le Tour. The chalet's luxury facilities mean you have leisure options without leaving the property. The indoor pool (28°C) has a resistance setting for those who enjoy a swim, and for those who want to relax, they can choose between the sauna or outdoor hot tub. After a day on the pistes or trails, you can unwind infront of the log burner and take in the panoramic views or escape with a blockbuster in the cinema room. Chalet Green Forest offers a different experience from staying in Chamonix - more 'montagnard.' You can enjoy the feeling of being away from it all while only being a short drive from Chamonix and the surrounding ski areas. Set at the base of Mont Blanc the skiing in Chamonix has a reputation for being some of the best in the world. Chamonix's varied terrain is an enticement to both adventurous skiers and boarders who are attracted to high-altitude, steep off-piste runs, as well as those who prefer to cruise the pistes and enjoy the views with a hot chocolate at a slope side restaurant. When the snow has melted, Chamonix has a wealth of activities to offer including hiking, paragliding, mountaineering, trail running, climbing, mountain biking and white water rafting. There are also more general sports and leisure activities available such as tennis and squash, bowling, swimming and fitness. The car-free centre of town is full of atmosphere and very cosmopolitan, with cobbled streets and squares and beautiful old buildings built around the fast-running glacial river, the Arve. The mood is lively and bustling with a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes.
