The OVO Network team’s opinion - Chalet Sideflip is a detached, compact chalet for four, with two bedrooms, a shower room, a cosy seating area and a well-equipped kitchen. It also has a furnished terrace, where you can enjoy the sunshine and the wonderful views, as well as two balconies. Conveniently located just a short walk from the slopes, and with the bus stopping just outside the chalet, you won't need your car when you stay at Chalet Sideflip, but if you are driving to La Clusaz there are parking spaces in a shared car park. Behind the chalet, you'll find a useful storage building, with a heated boot rack for ski boots and room to store your bikes or skis. The main bedroom on the lower ground floor is a double room with plenty of storage and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom at the top of the house has two single beds under the eaves - children will love the hammock-style play area which overlooks the living room downstairs. Chalet Sideflip may be small, but it packs a huge punch, with all the facilities you'd expect from a larger chalet. It's the perfect choice for a family with two children, who will love the twin bedroom, the play net and the garden. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included. A great choice of winter sports await you just minutes from your doorstep when you stay at Chalet Sideflip. The ski bus stops 100m away from your door, so you don't need to worry about driving to the pistes. There are nursery slopes, gentle blues and cross country trails on Beauregard, while more experienced skiers and boarders will find plenty of challenges at the popular La Balme area. Non skiers will also be able to take advantage of the ski bus to visit cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops or try activities such as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. There's also an ice rink in La Clusaz and a cinema which shows films in French and English. If you're looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you. There's just as much to do at Chalet Sideflip if you visit in the spring and summer, when the pistes are transformed into lush pastures criss-crossed by hiking and biking trails. Take a hike into the Col des Aravis, or to the base of the via ferrata from the front door, and you may spot chamois or marmots. Enjoy the magnificent views across to the Mont Blanc chain from various points along the Col. If you don't fancy the long climb, some parts of the ski lift system open during the summer to ferry you and your bike into the mountains of La Clusaz or Merdassier, then you can descend at your own pace. For a really special day out, you can hire donkeys from a farm on the Col des Aravis for a day's trekking, or try horse-riding, climbing or paragliding. Just 35 minutes away, the medieval city of Annecy offers a great choice of shops, restaurants, galleries and museums, as well as swimming, boating, golf and watersports in the cleanest lake in Europe. At the end of the day, relax over a meal in a local restaurant, or perhaps a barbecue and a glass of wine on the terrace of Chalet Sideflip as the sun sinks behind the peaks.
