Chalet Solneige is a 200-year-old farmhouse, converted into a modern bed and breakfast, family style hotel. In the vaulted lounge we serve delicious dinners and you can enjoy the fireplace and the comfortable sofas. In summer, the garden is beautiful! We serve dinner outside on the terrace, so you can enjoy the long mountain evenings in the international company of our guests.
We are Therese Gasser and Pieter Janse, Swiss and Dutch. We moved to France in 2010, when we bought Chalet Solneige and started our family hotel. We enjoy this beautiful place and welcome you very much to stay with us. Our adult daughters Yvonne, Marion and Karin live and work abroad, but are regularly on holiday with us.
Both in summer and in winter, chalet Solneige is a great base for your holiday. Vaujany is part of the huge Alpe d'Huez ski area. In summer, many famous alpine pass roads are "just around the corner": Croix de Fer, Glandon, Alpe d'Huez, Galibier.... Also there are plenty of wonderful hikes to make, and many outdoor possibilities: Via Ferrata, paddling, surfing, rafting etc. Of course you can also just sit comfortably in the garden with a good book.
