After spending many years working in the UK and renovating in France, with the birth of our first child, we finally decided to trade in the city life for rural France. We opened a little bar and restaurant, and have spent our free days restoring our house and above our restaurant with a great deal of consideration to its original features. We have favoured where possible eco-environmental building methods. Now with two children and a popular little business, we enjoy living in the center of the village, where we are in touch with local life and with the opportunity to escape to the countryside or coast. Our family has been living in this area for over 25 years, and so we know it well, and can recommend sightseeing, places to go and things to do.

Built in the 1600's this building is one of the oldest commercial properties in the center of Guemene sur Scorff, the historic market town. At one time in history, it was a pilgrims stop over; signaled by the stone carving of the Coquille Saint Jacques displayed on the top of the building. With huge amounts of love for restoration and chic contemporary design, we have brought it back to life with a mélange of the old and the new.

Located in the center of the quaint historical village of Guéméne sur scorff, this beautiful 17thC guest house has been restored with huge amounts of dedication. Guéméne is a pretty little village surrounded by wooded hillsides. Dating back to the 15th century with its historic monuments and picturesque buildings it provides culture and interest to many visitors every year. Its most famous for its ‘Andouille’ and to celebrate, there is a big Andouille festival at the end of August each year with wonderful Breton music and dancing in traditional costumes. The Scorff Valley is rich, with protected natural and historical heritage, & has 400km of marked trails to discover, running between woodland and rivers.
