Company info

In 2005 we were given the opportunity to restore some life into this beautiful Chateau. Russ's passion for a project, desire to be in the mountains and try something new led us here to the Pyrenees. It was never our sole intention to aim our business at families but as 3 became 4 then 5 it seemed a natural progression. Our guests keep telling us we have a winning formula so we decided to build on that. The atmosphere at the Chateau is always a warm friendly one and we hope you will go away having made new friends over relaxed sociable suppers. We ourselves have made many friends and are delighted to welcome people back year after year. Most importantly is that the children feel safe and happy here, and with instant playmates, toys and games galore and an area with so much to see and do we feel we have a winning combination.

We are Russell, Heather who along with our 3 young sons Louis, Henry and Hugo run Chateau de la Lanette. We arrived in the Pyrenees in 2006 with an 18 month old Louis in tow to a house that neede some serious TLC! Fortunately Russ had the vision to see how it could be. After lots of blood, sweat and many tears ( mainly by me!) we opened our doors in 2008. Our aim, to provide a a haven for parents wishing to enjoy the beauty of the area whilst keeping their little ones happy and occupied. Having 3 children ourselves we know the importance of being 'child friendly' and we feel we go the extra mile to help everyone have a fun filled and relaxing holiday. After all in my opinion Happy Children means Happy Parents. We also now have 2 road cyclists in the family who are addicted to tackling the mighty Cols featured in the Tour De France each year. Our Chateau is perfectly placed to be a base for your ride, you can come back and enjoy a cold beer, take a swim the heated pool or generally relax with the stunning mountains as your back drop.

Neighborhood info

The stunning Pyrenees is perfect for outdoor and active families. Whether you enjoy climbing, hiking, canyoning, skiing, parapenting or just taking in the views then this is the perfect place. We are perfectly placed for cycling all the Cols featured in the Pyrenean stages of the Tour De France. There is also lots of culture and history in the area and there are many beautiful towns and villages to discover.
