ChezLoa is a beautiful traditional property only metres from the town square. On Tuesday, Friday and Sunday you can meander through the market on the square and browse through the stalls before relaxing with a coffee or glass of wine at one of the bars. You'll find restaurants serving Italian, French and British food in the square as well as a kebab restaurant on Rue Du Commerce. A boulangerie, pharmacy, tourist information and more are all located around the square. The Leisure Centre with indoor and outdoor pool is just off the square. Guests can find plenty of free parking close to the property and even a recharge point for electric cars. ChezLola has an extensive garden with the Charente river running along the bottom. Guests can choose from a number of garden games available or relax on the terrace. If you enjoy fishing the Charente is right on your doorstep. A fishing licence can be obtained online. If you have children you can book the Family Suite which incorporates the Twin room and the Queen room with the adjoining bathroom. Unfortunately it is not possible to book the family suite as well as the queen room or the twin room.

It's always a pleasure to meet new people. I enjoy welcoming families of all types including those with children who have special needs. As an ex inclusion teacher I'm able to offer time-out sessions (at an additional cost) for parents who would like to have a few hours every now and then to relax or enjoy the local activities by themselves. These activities could include music, gardening, craft ( including painting plant pots and planting seeds), sports or just playing some quiet games. Unfortunately the property, at the moment, is not accessible for guests with physical difficulties, however, having worked for many years teaching deaf children I hope that any guests with a hearing-impairement would feel comfortable and at ease during their stay at ChezLola. The surrounding area has plenty of opportunities for hiking, canoeing, cycling as well as interesting places to visit. The delightful towns of Verteuil-sur-Charente and Nanteuil-en-Vallée are each about a 20 mins drive away. If you are an animal lover you might like to visit the Vallée Des Singes (Monkey Park) which has a huge variety of different species and is just a 15 minute drive away. You'll find a wide variety of choice of restaurants just on the doorstep in the pretty town square as well as a cinema showing English movies on Tuesdays and French movies on the other days. There is even a theatre about 350 metres from the accommodation. Do you fancy tasting the superb cognac which is made in this region? There are a number of places where you can taste this delicious drink and see the vineyards where the grapes are grown.
