We are situated on 77ha of forest outside a charming village with the Via Podiensis (road to Santiago de Compostella) running through our land. We have old truffle plantations which we want to revive, mysterious cabanas, lots of wildlife and fields of orchids and wildflowers to discover.
We are passionate about cooking, preserving, discovering wild herbs and fruit, observing the many birds, insects and other more elusive wildlife here. We made a conscious decision to change our lives and become more sustainable which we were privileged enough to be able to do 1 year ago with the buying of this magnificent property. We believe in a more humane and sustainable approach to tourism where guests are not just unknown consumers but are interested in the region and want a holiday of discovery and inclusion in the surroundings.
Eco-immersion is in a small Mas 4km from Limogne-en-Quercy, a charming village with Sunday market, restaurants and shops. We are situated within the UNESCO PNR Causses du Quercy which has numerous possibilities for outings and discoveries including the famous Pech Merle cave paintings 30 min from us. Nearby we have numerous walks - to discover the mysterious cabanas, a botanical path and a walk to discover the Fontaines in the region. There are also a number of dolmen a cycle away. Cajarc with the Lot running through it is 15 min drive for boat rides, canoe renting or strolling along the riverfront.
