I’m originally from Germany and have been living in France for over 15 years. Together with my French wife, who works in the tourism industry, I live in Normandy, where I enjoy welcoming guests and sharing my passion for the region with them. As a trained chef with over 12 years of experience running a bed-and-breakfast and five apartments scattered throughout Calvados, I place special emphasis on quality, comfort, and the little details that make a stay truly enjoyable.

Located in the heart of Calvados, L’Écurie Gourmande enjoys a peaceful countryside setting while being close to many of Normandy’s highlights. The famous D-Day landing beaches, including Juno Beach, are just a short drive away, along with the historic town of Bayeux, known for its cathedral and medieval charm. The vibrant city of Caen, with its shops, restaurants, and memorial museum, is also easily accessible. Guests can explore picturesque villages, local markets, and scenic coastal landscapes, or enjoy walking and cycling in the surrounding countryside. An ideal location to combine relaxation, history, and discovery.
