After spending over 35 years in Copenhagen, Denmark, we decided to completely change our way of life. François, a chef and painter, and myself, a teacher of French as a foreign language, were captivated by this beautiful 18th–19th century manor house in Rivesaltes, in the south of France. We lovingly restored it, bringing in our shared passion for antiques, contemporary art, music, and nature. Returning to the roots of my native region felt natural. As for François, he draws on his Portuguese heritage to enrich Catalan cuisine with personal touches inspired by his many travels. We are delighted to share this home with you—a place full of Mediterranean and Catalan charm, where authenticity and modern comfort come together to create a timeless retreat.
