We are a family run establishment, everyone helps out even after their day jobs! We want you to feel comfortable about walking around barefoot ( Trish does all the time) and just realxing into the slower pace of life that is La Girarde. There are places to discover, watching the Dordogne make its way to the coast, visiting a few of the many Bordeaux Chateaux to discover that little gem of a wine or simply just sitting on the terrace spotting the odd deer walking through the property or reading a book.

Set amongst vineyards between Bordeaux and Perigeux, not far from St Emilion. La Girarde is a beautifully restored stone farmhouse. Now run as an elegant and unique destination with all the contemporary comforts you could wish for. Furnished with style and care for a relaxed and highly personalised experience. Five spacious bedrooms with, individually decorated to make the most of each space. All with ensuite bathrooms, ecological toileteries, Egyptian cotton bedding, sumptous duvets and pillows. Evening meals are available with prior notice ( 24hrs please). A relaxed 3 course meal using seasonal, local and where possible organic produce. Drinks are available throughout the day. There is a small but lovingly compiled winelist as well as beer and soft drinks. You can help yourselves to teas & coffees in the dining room whenever you like. Hidden from view in a sunny courtyard, our pool and terrace is the perfect spot to relax after a busy day discovering the region's treasures. Heated between May and September. The terrace provides sitting and lounging areas both in and out of the sun. Lots of space in the gardens to relax.

We are approx 30 minutes from the famous vineyards of St Emilion, 1.5 hours from Bordeaux City centre and airport, 45 mins from Bergerac, Dordogne airport. Situated in a rural setting surrounded by vineyards and beautiful French countryside. The historical village of Gensac is approx 8 mins drive away. A tranquil spot far from the crowds. There are beautiful walks, through the countryside, relax by the pool or visit one of the many farmer's markets and historical villages in the area. The river Dordogne is approx 10mins drive away where you can hire canoes and bikes.
