The house dates from the 1850s but its history seems to begin as early as the 15th century. This large mansion has seduced us with its beautiful facade and the beautiful volumes of its rooms even if many works were necessary to make Our house. Completely renovated, we wanted to make it a warm and welcoming place where it is good to live and also to eat well, as a table d'hôte, for those who wish it. Our house has two guest rooms. Even if the possibility exists to create a third one, we want to privilege the quality of the meetings more than the quantity.
Claude and I particularly like DIY (almost professional), decoration and gardening. I like cooking, whether traditional or more exotic, from our different origins and our travels. Even if we can not do as much as we would like, we like to travel and discover elsewhere, both in their populations and in their cultures. Differences are a wealth and they are welcome here.
Our house is located on the main street of the village, close to the castle (from the 15th and 16th century) and the church, part of which is listed. On this lively street you will find the Post Office, a grocery store and a small bar / restaurant. Strolling through the small alleys of the village is very pleasant and for the more courageous there are hikes to discover the hills and vineyards around. The peak hike is my favorite. A little further (6km) is the Abbey of Saint Hilaire and its tomb of Saint Sernin, not to be missed. To get to Carcassonne you will have train connections (6 shuttles per day) at the price of 1 euro.
