Wooden Alpine Chalet with Deck, Hot Tub, and Sauna, offers a prime location facing the Ardent ski lift, at the foot of the slopes. It is a stay in the heart of the mountains that awaits you. Ski in and out in winter or hike directly from the doorstep in summer at this bona fide mountainside lodge. Exposed eaves, paneling, sheepskins, and real fire, sauna, and hot tub all add to the charm and authenticity of this traditional cabin. The Chalet la Grange à Germaine is located in the heart of the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil, at 1200 meters altitude in the hollow of the valley and green Ardent, between the clear waters of Montriond's lake and pastures Lindarets. La Grange à Germaine is a veritable alpine chalet with old-fashioned pine trees, sun-bruised veins and a roof entirely covered with split wooden posts called "éfenles". It will immerse you in the warm and cozy atmosphere of its past, in the cozy comfort of a mountain chalet of high standing.

Neighborhood info

5 minutes walk (500m/1640feet) from the chalet, you can watch Ardent Falls. It is an iconic place in the Valley d'Aulps with 200m (656feet) of waterfall. If you like walking, you can go at 1km down from the chalet and walk arround the amazing Montriond Lake. It is a truely peaceful haven, perfect summer leisure base with many activities: hiking, swimming, fishing, sunbathing, canoeing-kayaking... You can chose to hike at "Le Belvédère" whitch it is a a technical track but the view up to the lake and the valley is just magnificent. If you drive or walk up 3km (1,86miles) you will fopund the hamlet of "Les Lindarets" witch is based at 1467m (4813feet) above sea level. We call it "The Goat Village", where a herd of forty goats roam freely during summer. This place is a must for families who come here to immerse themselves in a bubble of authenticity and discover a real village with its cottages, pastures and very famous goats! You can also be sure to find a delicious meal in one of these many restaurants in this corner of paradise.
